It all began in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where a bold dream took root amidst everyday struggles. But then came 2020 a year that reshaped the world. As the COVID-19 pandemic swept across borders, lives were disrupted, economies shaken, and uncertainty became our daily companion. Amid lockdowns, fear, and global paralysis, I made a difficult but necessary journey back to South Africa, determined not to let the vision die.

There, in the thick of the crisis, as the world stood still, I moved forward applying to formally register the business that had been born from hope and necessity. But just when I thought I was ready to launch, I hit an unexpected wall: MECB was unavailable in the business registry. What seemed like a small administrative hurdle carried emotional weight it meant letting go of the name that started it all.

Yet in that moment of challenge, transformation took place. From the ashes of MECB, CMEB rose a symbol of adaptation, resilience, and a vision that refuses to be confined by borders or setbacks. Though the name changed, the vision remained clear and unwavering: to build beyond borders, bridging communities with expertise, passion, and purpose. From humble beginnings to a cross-country ambition, CMEB stands not only for a business, but for a movement one that believes in turning local challenges into global opportunities.
